~Level 3 NOC Engineer/ Riverbed SME~Working within the NOC environment that covers multiple clients and supporting their sites all across the world.My role includes the following:-Dealing with escalated complex problemsSupporting L1/L2 engineers with problems and work loadMentoring team on technical solutions and best business practiceProcess development, implementation and improvement Work closely with customers to develop relationships and technology utilizationWork closely with vendors on complex issues and product developmentWork closely with account teams and senior management teams to ensure best quality supportDevelopment and improvement of in house monitoring and reporting toolsSupport of full Riverbed SteelCentral visability tool suite (APM/NPM products)Documentation creation and managementWorking with piers to ensure best practices are implemented across the portfolio of products we supportMy role within the NOC is largely operational but also involves working on customer projects such as large scale deployments, QoS implementation, upgrades and security projects. I work closely with all teams with in NCR to support Presales, Professional services, operations and leadership teams as a technical resource.

Responsibility includes design, management and support of the area's network infrastructure and customer solutions, including managed offshore communications solutions, terrestrial WAN solutions and the SOIL network.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Network design and implementation, including routing and switching, voice and video, and integration with VSAT, fiber and radiolink transport.Riverbed (RCSP-W) subject matter expert for Europe/Africa area.Ensuring that the core network and remote sites run with optimal efficiencyWorking 3rd level support issuesPre-sales support; working as a technical and commercial resource for sales and marketing, including assistance with developing bids and meetings with customersWorking on infrastructure projects such as regional core network upgrades, maintenance and deployment of new Data Centre, Teleport and PoP locations.Working as part of a on call rota proving 24x7 support for sites in Europe and AfricaConfiguration, deployment and management of RigNet value add range of products to provide WAN optimization, Out of Band management and Power distribution.Deploying and supporting RigNet's Multi vendor MPLS network including but not limited to Cisco, Juniper, Riverbed, Uplogix, Servertech, Fortinet, Sonicwall and HP equipment.

Responsible for day to day on site operations, supervised multinational work force and liaised with the client on a daily basis.Whilst working in this role i learned and applied man management, decision making and troubleshooting skills that are transferable to any industry.
