Evaluate special pricing requests submitted by ABF sales personnel on behalf of existing and potential customers. Continuing activities include the analysis of freight profile, projected volume, system lane balance, competitive bids, and other factors to determine the proper pricing alternative in order to obtain new business profitably. Marketing support from the position includes daily communication with ABF clients and ABF sales and sales management personnel nationwide regarding the interpretation, negotiation, and administration of pricing arrangements. Special projects include reviewing specific customer accounts to determine changes in price, shipment handling, and other operational considerations in order to reduce costs and increase revenues, thereby ensuring maximum profitability.
