Hosted daily outreach events in communities who could not afford transportation to YMCA. Held summer camp programs for over 100 kids in need. Provided groceries to over 3500 people in need.-Invited and sponsored to attend Leadership Summit in DC hosted by BOA in which I learned from senators, congressmen, local non profit leaders, BOA executives, actors, directors, and other changemakers on what it takes to be a leader in a community. Worked in a team of 13 teenagers led by the Miami Vizcaya Museum to solve local environmental issues, including global warming, water and air pollution, and pollution by waste. Worked on passing specific legislation in local schools to make it mandatory that students graduate high school having passed a course catered to environmental issues and their solutions to normalize and standardize environmental care. Organized local panels to educate the public and spread awareness on environmental issues. Facilitated outreach to local communities and schools in order to bring forth resources and experts to tackle local problems including food desertification and economic issues. Planned community service events to clean up local waters. Organized drives to collect funding for projects including composting and local clean ups.
