I implemented a new requirement that mentors report how their first year student are transitioning to college on a weekly basis as well as mandating that mentors meet with me at least twice per quarter to work individually towards goals the mentor hoped to achieve within their role or as a simple check in to ensure good self care. I developed relationships with campus partners across divisions and across universities in order to create STARS specific workshops designed to inform the target student demographic of OMSS. These relationships have resulted in over 150 students participating in 3 new and unique STARS specific workshops and social events presented in collaboration with the Office of Financial Aid and Financial Literacy, the Career Center, the Athletic Department, and University Ministry.
