Feeling the weight of lab fatigue on my aspirations of becoming a professor, I chose to step away from academia to immerse myself in a new culture and develop my communication skills. The advanced curriculum required me to guide a class of twelve 6-year-olds through five-paragraph essays, demanding not only swift simplification but also empathy and creativity to keep the learning environment engaging and fast-paced.Then, in 2020, the world paused, and my stay was unexpectedly extended.

I had the unique opportunity to conduct thermoelectric energy harvesting experiments with multi-walled carbon nanotube yarn in Professor Dongseok Suh's laboratory in South Korea. During my time there, I successfully developed a tea candle that generated electricity upon ignition. I also quantified the energy output and submitted a patent application in collaboration with the University.

I was involved in several engineering projects with the POLARBEAR2 / Simons Array team. With the simple goal; to be the first to detect our universe's earliest gravitational waves caused by cosmic inflation. POLARBEAR2 is a large 2-meter microwave telescope stationed in the Atacama Desert of Chile.-Managing the focal plane manufacturing team responsible for the production of over 6,000 silicon micro lenses -3D Design of telescope's receiver enclosure and other exterior components-Maintaining excellent relationships with collaborators, suppliers, machinists, and accountants -Nano-fabrication and characterization of superconducting NIS/SIS cooling junctions and seating wafers-SEM analysis and testing

Thanks to Professor Welsh, I was able to assist astronomers in the hunt for exoplanets that orbited around two or more stars by analyzing multiple star systems' light curves.
