I am the head of McCathern's Intellectual Property practice group. My practice focuses on patent matters, particularly assisting clients in obtaining and exploiting patent rights. In addition to my patent practice, I advise clients on other technology-related matters such as the protection and enforcement of trade secrets, as well as trademarks and copyrights.For over a decade, I have been a practicing attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. During that time, I have prepared and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications in a wide range of technical fields. I have further experience with preparing and negotiating licensing agreements, providing patent clearance evaluations, rendering patent infringement and validity opinions, establishing foreign patent rights, patent litigation, and inter partes review proceedings at the United States Patent and Trademark Office. I have experience working with large corporations as well as small business owners handling all of their intellectual property needs. I enjoy working closely with clients to develop and implement intellectual property strategies to best add value to their business endeavors.
