I have over 33 years of experience with client account management, business development, and project management, as well as delivery of services related to disaster response and recovery, hazard mitigation, floodplain management, environmental compliance, and emergency management. Throughout my career, I have managed projects with increasing size and complexity for Federal, State, and local government clients. As a Client Account Manager with AECOM’s National Governments Civilian Agencies team, I have led client engagement, business development and growth strategy for Federal clients such as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Interior, Department of Agriculture, Department of Homeland Security, and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) across AECOM’s business lines. I am also the National Governments Market Sector Leader for AECOM’s Environment business, working across AECOM’s Environment practices in North America to grow our business with Federal clients. I have extensive experience with the effects of disasters and with efforts to reduce future impacts of disasters. Through nationwide standby contracts with FEMA, I have provided technical, programmatic, and management support for response, recovery, and mitigation for numerous natural and human-caused emergencies and disasters across the U.S. and its territories. I have led effective mobilization and management of multidisciplinary teams in support of disaster field operations ranging from assessing damage to infrastructure and evaluating the feasibility of proposed hazard mitigation projects to evaluating proposed repair and mitigation projects for compliance with environmental and historic preservation requirements. I have worked with the National Flood Insurance Program since 1990, providing services ranging from preparation of Flood Insurance Rate Maps to the assisting local governments with the implementation of floodplain management ordinances.I have also led efforts to provide emergency management, capabilities assessment, response and recovery planning, and strategic planning services for state, local, regional, and federal emergency management planning projects nationwide, often in environments that require extensive interagency collaboration to achieve results.
