Chris was again recently selected by the Indiana Super Lawyer as a Top 50 Lawyer in Indiana for 2024. Chris is a name partner in his law firm where he has developed an extensive complex business litigation and corporate business practice that regularly has him appearing in boardrooms and courtrooms in Indiana and elsewhere. He has drafted more than 40 pieces of legislation and testified before numerous Indiana House and Senate committees.Chris has defended hundreds of claims and lawsuits involving breach of contract, business litigation, environmental, real estate and insurance coverage matters. He has served as lead plaintiff's counsel in dozens of client matters that have resulted in seven and eight figure recoveries and lead defense counsel in dozens of cases involving claims of more than $1 million.Since 2001 Chris has been consistently selected annually by various national and state publications as a top lawyer, including The Best Lawyers in America and Indiana Super Lawyers. Beginning in 2017 Chris has been selected as one of Indiana's Top 50 Super Lawyers. Chris is an Eagle Scout and is passionate about education and giving back to others. He was a Founder and Chairman for the development of Guerin Catholic High School, as well as St. Maria Goretti Catholic Grade School. Certified as a Mediator in 1996, since 2001 Chris has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at The IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law teaching advance trial techniques and alternative dispute resolution. He served on the Board of Directors for many years at Guerin Catholic and for 10 years at Park Tudor School, serving as Vice President for 2 years and President for 3 years. In 2019 was elected by his fellow alums to serve a four-year term on the Wabash College Board of Trustees and was reelected to the Board in 2023 for another four year term.Specialties: Chris was inducted as a Fellow into the American College of Environmental Lawyers as a leading environmental lawyer in the State of Indiana. The Wabash College alumni awarded Chris the Wabash College Alumni Spirit of the Monon Bell Award. The Indiana Lawyer selected him as a Leadership in Law Distinguished Barrister and he was selected as a Distinguished Fellow by the Indiana Bar Foundation.
