As the Systems Operations Manager of daily operations within the Public Works Department, I am responsible for providing strategic leadership to departmental staff, overseeing their activities, and spearheading the hiring process. My role involves conducting comprehensive performance evaluations, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and policies, and formulating new policies and procedures as needed.A key aspect of my responsibilities is the meticulous administration of the department's operating budget, aligning its goals and objectives with the broader vision of the city. I actively engage in coordinating intricate construction projects, guaranteeing compliance with both state and federal laws as well as city ordinances. In collaboration with city administrators, I play a pivotal role in project communication by preparing and delivering information effectively.Beyond internal operations, I serve as a public relations advocate for the Public Works Department, providing valuable support. My commitment lies in facilitating seamless communication between the Public Works Department and the broader community, reinforcing positive relationships and enhancing the city's overall image.
