Twenty-eight years now in the transport industry. Started out moving heavy equipment on flatbed tractor trailers as a teenager, then later worked as a manager in the courier business. Now I manage a company that operates in both sectors. Here are a few of the positions we can fill in your company:• Commercial deliveries (palletized, unpalletized, open or closed trailers)• Manufacturing industry (heavy equipment parts, components, furniture, etc)• Parcel delivery• Meal/food delivery (Bulk delivery to care facilities, child and adult)• Furniture delivery• Medical courier (Pharmaceuticals, medical instruments, large medical equipment, etc.)• Bank courier• Legal courier (Confidential documents, document retrieval, legal evidence, court filings, registers of deeds, etc.)• Inter-office courier (documents, records)• Personal courierI grew up on a jobsite. The family business was Grading, mostly heavy earth-moving. Operated bulldozers, loaders, excavators, scrapers, etc. and transported them on big rigs from site to site. I did this for 15 years, then transitioned into the courier business, eventually becoming a manager. This was 3rd shift, working in pharmaceuticals, managing a set of drivers in the pickup and delivery to hospitals, rest homes, and assisted-living facilities. During the day, I also worked in sales, creating Estimates in the venture to secure different bids. One day I realized the experience I had, and the amount of work I was doing, and I thought, "why am I not doing this for myself."
