After a 2 year hiatus, I’m doing what I love

Bringing 15 years of sales experience with me, Dane Decor Downtown added many aspects of the furniture industry to my resume, including manufacturing and textiles. My employers also gave me the freedom of creating window displays and staging the showroom. To keep things fresh and bring in new clientele, I also coordinated one-man shows and exhibitions to highlight local artists, and redesigning the look of the store to welcome the growing downtown population, especially new college graduates and first time homeowners with "Urban Decor", a separate department featuring the quality furniture Dane Decor was known for, but at price point for someone just starting out.

Starting as a picture framer in 1984 and promoted to various departments within the company, I gained experience and strength in retail and retail sales, fundraising, event planning, job training, and sales management.
