Management and planning of routine and preventive maintenance of machinery in production section was also my responsibility. Quite often I was involved in project work and had been requested off shift to work with other departments when new Engineering, Good Manufacturing Process or British Standards projects were being installed or initiated due to my experience in Health and Safety, Engineering, Good Manufacturing Process and British Retail Consortium systems management. More recently site attained ISO22000 accreditation.

Welder FabricatorFabrication and welding of various modules from engineering plans using MMA, MIG and Submerged arc welding techniques. Contracted to Govan and Yarrows Shipyards in Glasgow for periods of up to one year at a time. Closure of Ailsa Troon Shipyard the reason for leaving. Experience of Ultra Sound and dye testing of welds was included as part of welder fabrication training.
