· Received, indexes, scans, transfers, destroys health and administrative information for the Patient Records Section;· Integrates all health/administrative information into the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) via scanning hardware and imaging software;· Retrieves documents from the Medical Center and Community Based Outpatient Clinics;· Retrieves and delivers paper medical records for direct patient care and indirect patient care activities;· Tracks, retrieves, and performs follow-up activities on medical records charged out in the Records Tracking System;· Maintains record request database;· Assists supervisor with activities related to the retiring of Consolidated Health Records (CHR) to the VA Record Center and Vault;· File loose documents on a daily basis in the correct medical or administrative folder;· File Medical records in the Main File Room in accordance with the terminal digit filing system;· Answer telephone and requests of Medical Center staff who present to the Section;· Perform other related duties as assigned.
