I have a passion for computers and the software that powers them. I attempt to surround myself in computer technology whether I am at home, or at work. I have to avoid online marketplaces like eBay to prevent my home-lab from growing even larger.My current career as an avionics technician has given me the necessary experience to make drastic jumps between hardware installation on aircraft, to system administration on a moment's notice. I enjoy fast paced work environments that constantly brings new challenges, as a stale work environment steals my motivation.My personal and work experiences have developed my skills in system administration, network administration, software development, and hardware deployment. In terms of system administration, I have experience hosting websites, databases and files while maintain a secure configuration with SELinux, I have deployed and maintained Windows servers employing Active Directory and other related Microsoft services. Virtual machines powered by KVM and ESXI are a part of my daily life. In the process of learning Docker and K8s.My experience in software development is fueled by C/C++, Java, PHP, and Python. I have also dabbled in Linux kernel-mod programming, and shell scripting.Currently working to get my CCNA. I have heavy experience with the Cisco CLI on Catalyst switches, ASA firewalls, and the 2000 to 4000 series routers. Juniper SRX firewall configuration is also a part of my toolkit.
