Working on the Brae Bravo platform in the North Sea on various pipelines assisting with the corrosion mapping and weld inspection using the TOFD method and conducting NDT inspections whilst using rope access. Carrying out inspections on different mechanical components in the workshop using the DPI method and producing high quality reports.

Working on the Hewett platform in the North Sea on various pipelines alongside Metalyte Pipework’s for Petrofac conducting NDT inspections using different methods of NDT whilst using rope access and also assisting with the repairs. Carrying out the inspection a crane on the MV Maersk Recorder using different methods of NDT and conducting maintenance on other cranes at the Port of Blyth.

Working on a shut down conducting NDT inspections on various different types of vessels, pipelines reactors and structures in confined spaces and on the ropes using different methods of NDT including UT, DPI and MPI. Assisting the IRATA level 3 rope access technicians with rigging up the ropes and as standby rescue.

Conducting high rope access work to a very high standard on multiple different structures including railway viaducts and bridges across Scotland completing various tasks including stone masonry, core drilling, corrosion testing with an Ultrasonic Testing set, visual inspections and removal of tree branches and other vegetation.

Initially working as an apprentice assisting a highly multi-skilled technician conducting inspections of welds, forgings and castings using the MPI, DPI and UT methods in steel works and sites all over the north east of England. Once the training period was complete I successfully passed my PCN level 2 NDT courses in DPI, MPI and UT along with my high rope access with numerous offshore qualifications and now conducting individual inspections to a very high standard providing detailed reports.
