Christopher Dias Email and Phone Number
I am a retired US Navy Officer and Cybersecurity Assessor with over 10 years of IT and cybersecurity experience. For the first half of my Navy career I was a nuclear-trained submariner, which was sometimes fun, sometimes miserable, but always incredibly rewarding. Then I made a lateral move to the Information Professional career field, where I could follow my interest in computers, networks, cybersecurity and space, and still get paid for it. I am now privileged to be working as a Cybersecurity Assessor supporting the Missile Defense Agency here in Colorado Springs. As a nuke I learned to dig into the details, think critically and always look for the why. As a sub driver, I learned to make decisions under pressure and balance competing priorities, which often meant finding the least-bad option. As a cyber warrior, I got very experienced explaining technical subjects in terms of mission impact, and convincing non-technical stakeholders, often in senior leadership, that following security requirements was worth the hassle.
