We have developed a mobile off-the-grid sustainable small farm that can be as small or as big as needed.  This farm idea is:  green, carbon negative, renewable energy, bio-oil, soil amendments, healthy food, value-added crop source, one dam good idea, etc.The OFF-THE-GRID Sustainable Farm revolves around biochar and bio-oil.  The farm idea came about because of biochar and how it is produced.  We wanted to capture as much of the machine’s energy as possible and put it to use.  The scale of operation is intended to suit the small farmer, farmer’s co-op or remote village.  Think of it as a base camp.  The farm land to be used for this project is under 100 acres.  We are acting locally, while thinking globally, making this project economically feasible, automated as much as possible, adding value to biomass waste, and limiting off-the-farm inputs. One of the selling point of this sustainable farm is its main objective of showing how renewable energy can be a vital part of a small farm’s economic picture as well as improving soil fertility.
