 Applies comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers’ manuals orsimilar documents. Knowledge of Avionics systems, i.e. EGPWS, TCAS, WEATHER RADAR, FMS, TRANSPONDERS, NAV AIDS, COMMSYSTEMS, FDR AND CVR SYSTEMS Is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, soldiering techniques and modifying avionics, electrical andinstrumentation systems installed on aircraft. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence and inselecting tools and testing instruments. Receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, and work is reviewed forcompliance with accepted practices.

Job Description: Manufacturing Technicians perform functions associated with all wafer production including operations, equipments, process and training. Collects and evaluates operating data to conduct on-line equipment adjustment and ensure process optimization. Responsible for running lots in a qualitative way. Also, responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, spares, and sustaining. In addition, the Manufacturing Technician is responsible for improvement processes, troubleshooting nonstandard events in the production line, and reviewing technological health and stability. The Manufacturing Technician may be responsible for the buddy, trainer, and certifier levels and is in charge of updating training manuals. May participate in safety forums and Emergency Response Team as required. Work is somewhat complex and is performed within the spectrum ranging from narrowly defined parameters and limited judgment up to highly complex and nonstandard assignments in nature and broadly defined parameters. High degree of judgment and initiative is required in resolving complex nonstandard problems and developing recommendations. Normally receives general instructions on routine work, and detailed instructions on new work.

Operates avionic systems by using aircraft controls and displays to determine operational condition. Interprets equipment operating characteristics to isolate malfunctions in systems such as attack control, radar, infrared, laser, instruments, displays, flight control, communication, navigation, satellite communications, identification, defensive and offensive, and defensive or offensive electronic warfare systems. Uses technical data to trace wiring diagrams and signal data flow. Uses built-in test functions, support equipment, electronic measuring equipment, aerospace ground equipment (AGE), and hand tools. Removes and installs system components. Performs and supervises alignment, calibration, and boresight of avionic systems. Performs and supervises modifications. Uploads operational software into system components. Removes, installs, performs, and supervises operational checks of externally mounted electronic countermeasures equipment. Enters maintenance data into automated systems.Inspects, analyzes and evaluates avionic systems to determine operational status. Interprets inspection findings and determines adequacy of corrective action. Reviews maintenance management publications and procedures. Recommends methods to improve equipment performance and maintenance procedures.
