-Led environmental and sustainability projects/programs as part of the Company's commitment to the environment-Developed and maintained safety improvements, initiatives, and the daily management of ongoing safety and wellness operations-Provided insight, training, and information for the senior management team regarding safety and wellness strategic objectives and regulatory compliance issues-Represented the facilities to external regulatory agencies (i.e. EPA, OSHA, DOT, etc.)

-Maintained compliance for various permits (including monitoring, record keeping and reporting) with local and federal agencies (Cal/OSHA, CUPA, SWRCB, AQMD, CalEPA) for several facilities -Reviewed, managed, and provided regulatory updates to a broad range of environmental, health and safety programs (IIPP, Fall Protection, LOTO, SWPPP, HazCom) to ensure compliance with associated regulations -Conducted EHS inspections to ensure compliance with federal, state and local EHS standards -Developed and conducted safety orientations, trainings, and counseling sessions for employees-Maintained driver files, driver insurability, pull-notice programs, substance abuse consortium and other compliance-related programs-Assisted with the management of the worker’s compensation program including partnering with 3rd party administrators and clinicians to manage injuries, claims and employee’s return to work

Sub-contractor to Universal Waste Systems, Inc. -Enrolled over three hundred businesses and multi-family accounts into the City of Los Angeles recycLA program -Consulted accounts on methods to maximize recycling and create a zero-waste establishment -Created educational materials (videos, brochures, guides, etc.) to teach accounts the best zero waste practices

-Maintained general care of the garden, tools, workspace, and storage areas -Worked with student groups, faculty, and staff to optimize the use of the garden for educational purposes by the campus and general community -Organized workshops to expand and provide a garden space and gardening lessons for the community -Created educational materials for various sustainability-related topics

-Successfully secured grant funding from the Boeing Foundation to fund an aquaponics program for LAUSD schools -Assisted with urban farming projects to help communities develop self-sustainable agricultural methods -Facilitated the development and implementation of the Boeing Aquaponics Program, bringing self-sustaining aquaponics systems to schools throughout LAUSD

-Protected and managed the Hudson River Estuarine Sanctuary -Improved awareness and understanding of the Hudson River through education and outreach -Implemented environmental education programming during the summer season to camps and public groups
