Senior Service Manager with responsibility for half of the borough's Adult Social Care Neighbourhood assessment services. I had oversight of the budget and operational effectiveness of 4 of the borough's statutory assessment services with teams being made up of first line managers, Social Worker's and Social Care Officers. These teams work alongside, and are co-located with colleagues from a range of health and third sector organisations. The core function of the teams is to undertake a range of statutory assessments, support planning and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the people of Stockport. The service works with Adults over the age of 18 with a range of complex health and Social Care needs.Alongside the operational responsibilities this is a strategic role with responsibility for shaping and implementing ongoing transformational change to the service.I left this role due to emigrating to Australia.

Management of a busy locality social care team, made up of qualified social workers, social care officers (unregistered social care assessors) and working alongside a range of healthcare professionals and charity sector organisations as part of the health and social care integration agenda. The service is an 18+ adult services team offering an assessment and care management service as well as undertaking a wide range of other statutory functions such as Safeguarding Adults work.

Under the direction of the Team Manager - General management of a busy locality Older People's Services Social Work team. Supervising a group of staff, providing support in a fast paced and challenging environment. Screening, prioritisation and allocation of all incoming work. Chairing Safeguarding Adults investigations.

Providing a wide range of statuary social care assessment services including assessment/care management and safeguarding adults. Utilising a wide range of social work methods, models and skills I worked to ensure personalised and timely support was provided to individuals with a range of needs. During this period I also completed a secondment to set up a multidisciplinary (Social Work and Occupational Therapy) assessment service within the in-house domiciliary care service which was tasked with delivering on the authorities goal of preventing, reducing and delaying ongoing needs where people had experienced an acute period of deteriorated health/functional abilities.
