Independent software consultant working on extensions to the Clarify CRM system. Project included Blackberry and Pocket PC wireless clients and their associated server components to allow both online and offline access to field dispatches. The data for these components was stored in both Oracle and SQL Server versions of the Clarify CRM database. Application architecture utilized store and forward mechanisms with error recovery, custom XML data streams and HTTP data transmittal. Designed and implemented a dispatch optimization algorithm to assist customer service representatives in assigning the “best-fit” engineer for a given job. Development environments included Microsoft Visual Studio and Blackberry JDE using Visual SourceSafe for source code control.• Most significant accomplishment was the specification, design, and implementation of a wireless field dispatch solution using Clarify CRM as a back-end database. Application consisted of a centralized server implemented in VB.Net and C# and Blackberry (Java) and Pocket PC (VB.Net/C#) client applications. Solution is currently in use and supporting up to 250 simultaneous users.Tools Utilized: Visual Studio 6.0, 2002, 2005, 2008, 2010, Blackberry JDE 3.7-5.0, SQL Server 6.0 – 10.0
