Process Operator Technician
CurrentMaintain operations safely and proficiently to meet customer orders for EO (Ethylene Oxide). Take ownership of entire EO Loading and Storage unit and manage different crews working within the unit ensuring OSHA and plant safety standards are used. Adapt quickly to the changing chemical needs of customers with a keen focus on technical expertise, teamwork, safety, profitability, and responsible care of the environment and of our community. Emergency Response Team member. Utilize SAP to document and monitor product movement. maintain radio communication with crews to insure proper operation. Work with crews loading/unloading, switching, & spotting railcars. Diagnose problems, troubleshoot, and maintain a variety of heavy equipment and machinery. Service and lubricates machines and equipment, operates repaired equipment to verify conformance to specifications. Request and control railcar movement in my area and oversee the safe loading and maintenance of railcars that move up to 450klbs of process per shift. Responsible for the monitoring and controlling the movement of material through pipelines and to railcars by starting/stopping pumps and operating valves, analyzing changing conditions and alarms and making necessary adjustments, monitoring pipelines by integrity, temperature, pressure, flow, and level, and coordinating pipeline and area maintenance, monitoring storage tanks and maintaining communication with other operators,maintenance personnel, customers, and suppliers to maximize efficiency, safety, quality, and customer service. Also a VPP/POSSE committee member which is the Voluntary Protection Program designed to recognize and promote safety and health management.
