As one of two mechanical engineers at a small company, I have the opportunity to act in many different roles, depending on the needs of the company. I have worked on projects involving product development, research, laboratory test fixtures, design for manufacturing, CNC machine fixtures, CNC machining, and quality systems.

As an engineering intern at Optiflow Inc. I was responsible for implementing a quality management database using Microsoft Access. I also made changes to prints and models using Solidworks.

As a vehicle dynamics intern at Chrysler, I measured the torque at the steering wheel required to keep vehicles with different tire configurations straight, then compared this data to warranty for the vehicle with those tires. To do this I was required to gain familiarity with different DAQ systems. I analyzed the data from the study in Microsoft Excel. I was also responsible for a study to determine if an increase in net axle conicity would affect warranty for a specific vehicle and tire, because the manufacturer was requesting a relaxation of specifications. I concluded that the change would have no net effect, and presented my findings to Chrysler management. I also analyzed the torque steer characteristics of vehicles.

As a web developer for IGD solutions, I was responsible for creating new websites based on photoshop designs provided to me. I also updated client websites and databases when a change needed to be made. I used HTML/CSS as well as the Adobe Web Design Suite.
