Physical Therapist
Current-Provide treatment for up to 10 patients/day in 45-minute intervals for evaluations and daily treatments -Assess and treat a primarily geriatric population with wide variety of diagnoses, including orthopedic, vestibular, and neurological conditions. -Use numerous outcome measures to assess patient success, including TUG, BBS, FGA, 6-minute walk test, 30s STS, LEFS, Oswestry, NDI, UE Quick Dash, and DHI -Supervise and delegate care provided by physical therapy assistants according to established licensing laws, state regulations, and practice standards -Maintain working network between MDs and various healthcare providers throughout hospital system -Prepare detailed documentation for evaluations, progress notes, and discharges through Epic EMR -Experience with use of specialized equipment, including Zero-G, Alter-G, Biodex, and Bertech equipment -Create personalized, fitness-oriented health care programs and educate patients about injury prevention, ergonomics, and ways to promote physical health -Emphasize individualized treatment approach based on patient's needs and goals
