- Provide direction to the Healthcare Economics unit (HCE), whose primary function is to provide various clinical and financial analyses to management to support the business decision process. - Coach and lead team consisting of 3 managers and 12 data analysts to continuously improve operational performance.- Act as liaison between departments in developing analyses necessary to support business decision process. - Oversee the HEDIS Analytics Team and provide insight and recommendations on how to improve plan scores.- Effectively allocate the limited number of analytic resources to multiple projects, corporate initiatives and ad hoc data request types.- Responsible for developing and administering provider level pay for performance plans.- Evaluates the effectiveness of quality management programs and disease management. Draw insights to continuously improve program performance. - Oversee HCE analyses, to assure accuracy and integrity of work performed and relevance to the business needs identified.- Evaluates potential medical cost savings ideas for return on investment.- Interacts with senior management to identify business analyses needs, develop the analyses and report the results of the analyses. - Interprets, explains and forecasts medical utilization and cost trends- Profiles providers to identify variances from standard medical practices- Determines the financial impact of business changes such as demographic mix, benefit offerings, etc.- Evaluates marketing and business expansion opportunities- Experienced with the Risk Adjustment Process for Medicaid and Medicare lines of business for revenue enhancement. Performs risk adjusted rate analyses and projections.
