I am responsible for business process integration and product pricing strategy.

In this new role, I work as a mentor for new team members and as a face for our team around BlackRock, giving presentations and acting as a subject matter expert. I on-board new clients and work on projects to optimize our team functions. I've helped with creating a reporting tool that points out data anomalies using decision tree logic and a Tableau dashboard to track client inquiries. The position requires use of SQL, Python, and Perl scripts.

Working in the Aladdin Risk Analytics Group, I was responsible for reporting, understanding and ensuring the accuracy of analytics on our fixed income, equity and alternatives products to help our clients and portfolio managers understand their portfolio exposures, strategy, risk and returns. This position involved lots of SQL querying and ETL configuration in order to ensure that data from external sources was properly entered into our databases. I specifically worked with external Insurance clients to help them understand their liability exposures, and quantify the risk associated with their investment positions.

I worked directly with the Deputy Chief Investment Officer, performing credit analysis and assisting with fixed income trading. This would involve reviewing delinquent mortgages to forecast prepayment rates. I helped enter any trades and searched for potential Residential Mortgage Backed Securities (RMBS) to purchase via a Bloomberg terminal. I had regular communication with sell-side firms and helped keep track of the valuations of our holdings via Excel spreadsheet.

I helped fellow students with writing assignments for Spanish classes and graduate school applications. I was offered the position due to success writing in Economics and Spanish courses.

I helped run concerts and voiced commercials for radio play.
