I am the Chief Investment Officer and Co-Founder of Southern Legacy Homes. I'm a full-time entrepreneur and real estate professional. A Lowcountry South Carolina native, I attended the College of Charleston and received my MBA and Masters of Science in Project Management from The Citadel.Dedicated 12 years working for the Department of Defense including 3 tours to Afghanistan. During that time I developed an interest in personal and business financing. Ever since, I have been meticulously studying the art and application of credit, funding, and leverage by applying these tenets to my own businesses.

    As the Multinational Logistics Lead, at the Joint level, I was the planner and advisor to over 21 North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Nations responsible for over 2000 personnel regarding logistics planning and contingency execution efforts. Acted as single point of contact for all Logistics Support, Supplies, and Services to all coalition forces. Managed and executed all efforts in maintenance planning and supply support for over $40M of US-loaned equipment to coalition partners to include 100% accountability. In preparation for base closure, facilitated turn in of US loaned equipment totaling over $15M and fielded $10M of equipment to United States Special Operations Command and Coalition Special Operations Forces teams based off Coalition Operational Needs Statements.Coordinated with Joint Staff, military members, and civilian leadership on transferring $10M in excess property to local government and coalition partners while executing Lean Six Sigma best practices to streamline property transfer process and reduced the turnaround time for approval by 30 days. This new process improvement was implemented at the command level throughout the Afghanistan Area of Responsibility. Utilized knowledge of defense acquisition regulations and statutes to ensure cooperative partnership with all service/Combatant Commands logistics processes. Developed failure trend analyses, trade-off, Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) to document and forecast high failure items associated with equipment. Through my efforts, JEOD VSAT was able to implement system improvements to include implementing Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS).Analyzed statistical trends to determine program effectiveness and projected requirements based on customer feedback. Managed integrated logistics support elements; sustainment engineering, supply support, maintenance planning and management, packaging, handling, storage, and transportation (PHS&T). TRAINING LEAD:Managed and exercised complete government oversight of the JEOD VSAT training requirements and technical documentation curriculum including scheduling and coordinating 24 training events training over 600 US armed forces throughout the CONUS and OCONUS environment. Managed the total life cycle support of 282 VSATs with an estimated value over $45M. Managed all Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) teams’ JEOD VSATs to include over 250 user accounts, 2,128 trouble calls, computer resources and interfaced with the help desk and technical support team to solve technical issues.Performed program planning and funding, and managed 12 contractor support personnel throughout the AOR. Provided government logistics direction to identify/schedule/implement the movement of $5M excess JEOD VSAT systems from current theater locations to new Technical Repair Facility (TRF) at Camp As Salayah (CAS), Qatar. Interpreted, planned, and evaluated program requirements to senior military officials. Conducted 100% physical inventory of excess gear, initiated property book transfer of returning gear back to primary hand receipt holder, directed and coordinated shipping of gear to TRF.Provided oversight of contractor during process to ensure gear was shipped and received correctly, and coordinated with CJTF Paladin property book officer (PBO) to ensure transfer was completed efficiently and on time.While continuing to meet the Warfighter’s needs, oversaw a major component upgrade and fielding requiring over 150 outdoor units throughout the Afghanistan AOR to be upgraded, swapped out, inventoried, and shipped totaling $28M. This upgrade relied heavily on efficient use of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to include scheduling, coordinating, monitoring, and controlling. Through my efforts, we were able to complete this task ahead of schedule and on budget.
