As an R&D Engineer at Saint-Gobain, a $58 billion global company and the world leader in sustainable habitat and construction, I have been responsible for creating and implementing new validation tests for discerning the important characteristics of a new technology. Saint Gobain has been recognized as one of the top 100 most innovative companies in the world.As a summer intern, I worked to compare and contrast various reinforcement products through the modeling and testing of core samples in lab that closely resemble field core samples, validating which product had more desirable characteristics and why In collaboration with the team leader, I made detailed recommendations based on the findings. In addition to my regular duties, I was given a second project, based around a revolutionary new concept, and charged with developing the testing procedure and giving direction to the product.While at Saint-Gobain, I co-coordinated, including negotiations with vendors and other logistics, the first annual Intern Social, a day which provided all of the interns an opportunity to build teamwork and friendship.

Designed prototype and final concept from the idea of a modular system to aid quadriplegics in remaining active. Specifically worked with the steering aspect of the project, but aided in the braking and steering sections in the team environment. Throughout the project, met at least on a weekly basis in order to discuss direction, new ideas, and possible functionality of components with both supervisor, and engineering consultant.
