I am currently a Physicist studying space radiation and space weather at NASA. I work in the Community Coordinated Modeling Center (CCMC) as a Solar Energetic Particle (SEP) Scientist, providing subject matter expertise, researching in the field, and acting as a point of contact for computer models concerning SEPs.In general, I have strong interests in solving novel challenges, developing explanations for how processes work, and ongoing learning. My current interests are in using data analysis to draw actionable insight out of data sets. I strive to explain what data is telling us, and the context in which it is useful and relevant. I am also looking to develop predictive models, and to advise on most effective courses of action, based on data analysis.I have experience with detailed data analysis, scientific inquiry, and problem solving. During my PhD research and experience as a scientist I have developed an understanding of which inquiries are important and interesting when trying to use available data to solve a problem or answer a pressing question. I have developed expertise in communicating and explaining findings to others regardless of their own level of knowledge in data analysis or the specific topic being researched. This includes experience with teaching, outreach events, presentations to non-experts, and presentations or discussions with other experts in the field. My skills in programming, mathematics, logical reasoning, and communication are of high value to a data analysis team. Applications of expertise include Python, C++, and SQL.
