I am part of a team of three for a Managed Service Provider focused on OT (Operational Technology) and IT (Information Technology) environments. We helped manage customers' server environments across the USA. We were responsible for three Data Centers and fifty-plus plant locations. Each data center had multiple virtual infrastructures, and each plant had its virtual infrastructure, leading to hundreds of servers being managed. We held a 99.9% SLA with our customers for update time and never had an SLA that we did not meet or exceed. Spoke with customers regularly to update them on tickets and issues they may have been dealing with.Helped with a project to move servers from Hyper V to VMware ESXi on Cisco HyperFlex (Hyperconverged) hardware. This included moving file servers with large amounts of data with as little downtime as possible. Most switchovers for the file servers were completed in less than an hour.Put into place and managed an OS update program that had not been in place for the plant servers. This included caching servers up on years of updates that had been missed and then keeping them updated monthly. The servers were split into three separate weeks so as not to have to patch all locations simultaneously. I also documented the process and trained junior techs; they took ownership of running it with no issues.Helped set up backups from the remote locations to the data centers for off-site storage. This included testing the process and confirming that backups were completed when needed. Set up and managed an Azure VM environment that hosted monitoring software for our customers. This included designing and setting up a server backup and patching program. I documented the patching program and trained junior techs to take over processing the patches on the servers.
