Trader on a high volume flow Trading desk. As part of a team of 8 traders I manage AFEX market risk with clients and counterparty banks, and using AFEX liquidity, to run the desk at a profit. I Quote and execute FX spot, forward and option prices across all currencies to a 100+ person sales team, using Bloomberg and our liquidity providers platforms. Provide market information, charts and analysis throughout the regional trading session. Analyse and enter proprietary trades to generate profit. Provide treasury and complex cash management for AFEX cash flow and currency accounts to ensure liquidity is available where needed.

Developing and dealing to a database of corporate and SME clients through cold calling and establishing referral relationships. Duties would encompass the full client lifecycle from initial approach and introduction, to keeping the client updated on market movements and finally executing deals on their behalf. This process would include meeting all KPI requirements to ensure that targets are exceeded on a monthly basis. Products sold include Spot and Forward contracts as well as market orders.

In mid 2010 I was approached by Moneycorp to move to our Sydney office to help develop business and increase P and L. After a review of the Moneycorp group it was decided that the office will no longer be used in that capacity, and the position became redundant.

Duties Included - Dealing FX and Vanilla Options to a database of private clients. Selling Moneycorps FX products to achieve and surpass monthly targets including pricing and margin management to maximize profit, building relationships, and providing a first class customer service to existing account holders while constantly aiming to win new business. Products sold include Spot and Forward contracts as well as vanilla options and Limit orders. Other duties would include executing FX swaps, and also providing video and audio commentary for clients. Targeted on achieving an average margin of 1% and exceeding a billing total of 75k GBP per month.

Selling Currencies Direct products and services to a client base to achieve and surpass monthly targets. Profit was generated from clients referred by affiliates which I had built relationships with, and also from clients who have called us in response to advertising and exhibitions. Providing a first class customer service to existing account holders while constantly aiming to win new contracts. This would include a full range of activities from making initial contacts with clients to developing lasting business relationships.Identifying new areas and markets in which Currencies Direct services can be developed, and putting systems in place to achieve these goals.
