I’m a first year student at the University of Toronto, entering into the Rotman Commerce stream, with an interest in finance and the capital markets. I have demonstrated my interest in finance through participation in a variety of activities, including work as an analyst and executive intern at the Rational Capital Investment Fund, as well being a part of a competitive team in Rotman’s Commerce Trading Competition and the Investment Challenge Competition. Through these activities, I have developed many skills directly transferrable to a career in finance. These skills include technical abilities, such as the evaluation of companies both by means of multiples and financial modeling, as well as interpersonal skills, which allow me to communicate and work with colleagues effectively.I hope to use this experience to contribute value related to my interests at a summer employment position, in addition to growing and actively managing the Rational Capital portfolio.Specialties: - Company Valuation (DCF, multiples, comps)- Research (Interpreting SEC 10k/10q filings, Industry analyst reports, News articles, etc.)- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT)- Capital IQ, Reuters Station, Bloomberg (brief experience)
