The role is as a Field Service Engineer but has grown throughout employment. I built robotic systems designed to store, catalog, and retrieve samples at -80C. My main focus is with the large BiOS unit which can range from 100,000 - 28,000,000 samples and was on average 10 - 30 meters in length. My responsibilities are to install, commission and program the systems but have included some refrigeration and wiring work. I also was responsible for making service calls and organizing times with customers. Many of these sites are located around the world and I have had to travel and stay for the duration which would range from days to months at a time. During time not spent away, I would work on programing systems in house and help on the manufacturing floor to build different units.
