Solutions Architect
CurrentI started at Kyocera in February 2010 as an Installation Specialist, with aspirations to move up within the company. I achieved this by obtaining the position of Application Specialist in February 2012, after completing a Train the Trainer course in November of the previous year. My initial role involved installation and setup of new photocopiers, as well as on-site support, to repair faults, conduct maintenance and train customers in the many functions of our devices and has now evolved into a more complex pre-sales support and escalated problem resolution position. I am currently required to liaise with the sales staff to better understand application requirements and tailor product packages to suit customer needs. This involves site visits and offering assistance and training to the sales team to demonstrate product capabilities and assisting them to generate appropriate quotes back in the office environment. My current duties also include offering my assistance to the field team to resolve any escalated faults with both hardware and software issues. In addition to this, I am involved in large-scale rollouts to customers with major Kyocera accounts requiring large numbers of devices.Responsibilities at Kyocera• Co-ordination with sales team and customers for the on-site installation of devices• Attendance at sales team meetings, and assistance with tenders• Device installation and customer training• Troubleshooting network solutions in complex environments• Liaising with direct sales staff and key dealers• Prompt response to internal and external customer requests• Resolution of escalated calls from service team in a timely manner• Use of expertise to support delivery of quality service
