In my journey from Design Engineer to Lead Engineer to Manager and team leader, I have been truly blessed to have created great designs, solved daunting technical challenges, and to have built absolutely astounding teams from the ground up. I bring a passion and drive for efficient, simple, and straightforward solutions driven by a thoroughly vetted requirements set. I seek to apply technical influence much more broadly, from Contracting and Supply Chain management, to design-for-manufacturing and design-to-cost.

  Within the large and diverse world of Structures at Boeing, I have led teams large and small, sustaining current production and the fleet, as well as standing up brand new teams for a new program or for internal skill enrichment of our design staff. I have employed direct employees, contractors, and industry-assist engineers, and my teams most often are comprised of many different skills (Design, Analysis, Tech Design, Project Managers, Manufacturing engineers, etc.) As a leader of people for many years, I have come to truly appreciate all aspects of diversity- most importantly the diverse mindset. Every day I am amazed at the contributions made at all levels, and gratified by the rapid growth of my early-career individuals, especially when placed in a fertile environment of great mentors. One of my own mentors set the highest of standards for technical excellence of all his leaders, reminding us we' re all engineers first and foremost. I continue to aspire to his example, to learn and to grow as both an Engineer as well as a leader.
