With over four years of work experience in chemical and biomolecular engineering, I am passionate about designing bio-inspired drug delivery systems. As a PhRMA Foundation Fellow and a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Iowa, I work in Dr. Jennifer Fiegel’s lab, where I apply my skills in polymer science and drug delivery to create bio-inspired targeted-polymer coatings. I am motivated by the potential to improve the health outcomes and quality of life of patients.In addition to my research, I have also gained valuable teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant for various courses at the University of Iowa and Utah State University, where I completed my undergraduate degree in biological engineering. I enjoy helping students learn and apply engineering concepts and principles to engineering problems, and I have received positive feedback from both students and instructors. I have also demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills as an Operations Supervisor at Utah State University Dining Services, where I was awarded Employee of the Month for my performance and dedication.I have also had the opportunity to lead teams of undergraduate student in their independent research projects.
