Trading Equity-Linked Structured Notes and CDs including Growth Notes, Income Notes and Auto-Callable Notes. Interacting with the various Structured Note Dealers to assemble a monthly calendar of equity linked notes that are suitable for Janney's client base. Daily tasks include creating the Monthly Calendar, gathering quotes from the Dealer community to create Customized Note Offerings for the salesforce as well as the trading of equity-linked notes in the secondary market. Knowledge and utilization of the SIMON Marketplace website.

Primary and Secondary trading of Mortgage-Backed Securities...primarily Pass Thru Securities and CMOs issued by GNMA, FNMA, and FHLMC. Interact with the Janney salesforce to gauge demand for various CMO structures. Build an inventory of bonds to meet the demands of the salesforce.

As the Corporate Bond Trader for Janney's Taxable Fixed Income Desk my main focus is servicing the Janney salesforce by building and updating an inventory of Corporate bonds. This inventory consists of both Investment Grade and High Yield issuers. I also support the salesforce by apprising them of any potential credit events that may affect the performance of their bond holdings. • Daily tasks include gather, analyze, and disseminate market and security information while identifying and creating actionable investment opportunities for the Janney salesforce and our client accounts.• Solicit potential trade interest from the Janney salesforce and locate external supply from the street while identifying internal demand for liquidity opportunities in the market.• Foster new trading relationships while also leveraging existing relationships.• Impeccable integrity, fiduciary mindset, and ability to consistently place the interests of our clients as the number one priority.Knowledge and utilization of Bloomberg, Bloomberg TOMs, Tradeweb/BondDesk, Knight-Bond-Point and Market Axess

In addition to my roles of Treasury Bond Trader and Zero Coupon Bond Trader I was given the role of trading the New Issue and secondary markets of a newly created product called Survivor's Option Corporate Bonds . This position entailed posting weekly new issues of bonds that carry the now popular death put feature. I was also tasked with educating the Janney salesforce about the advantages and disadvantages of these newly created Death Put bonds as well as trading these type of bonds in the secondary market. I also created marketing pieces for our salesforce to help explain the various aspects of Survivor's Option bonds.

In addition to my roles of Corporate Bond ABS Trader and Treasury Bond Trader I also took over the role of Zero Coupon Bond Trader. This entailed building an inventory of zero coupon bonds such as CATs, TIGRs REFCOs and FICOs. I also traded the various Zero Coupon Corporate Bonds that were available at the time in the secondary market. Traded corporate zero coupons issued by GMAC, Exxon, New York Telephone and other issuers. I also created a client approved Zero Coupon Marketing brochure that described the special tax treatment of the Tax Deferred Zero Coupon bonds issued by GMAC and Exxon.

In addition to my duties as the ABS Trader I also took over the role of Treasury Bond Trader. This position entailed taking orders from the Janney salesforce and calling the various Treasury Bond trading desks through out the street to receive the best execution for each trade.

Handled all trading on the NYSE Corporate Bond ABS screen for the Janney salesforce. Placed bids and offers on the ABS screen and monitored them through out the trading session. Also handled all bond trades with American Stock Exchange as well as the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Municipal Bond Operations. Manually entered all tickets for the Muni Desk and handled all trade problems and settlement issues. Acted as the desk assistant by fielding phone calls and answering questions from the salesforce. Any questions I could not answer I escalated to the Traders. Disseminated information to the traders using the Blue Book and the JJ Kenny wire.

I started at Janney Montgomery Scott in the Retirement Planning Department. I performed various tasks such as opening new Retirement Plan accounts and handling all incoming ACAT transfers of Retirement Accounts from Brokerage Firms, Banks, and other financial institutions. I also handled opening 401K plans and other Qualified Plans.
