Conducted extensive research on various cyber security principles, tools, and frameworks; in order to implement learning to assist in building the NextGenDS app with the DevOps team. Getting hands on experience with AWS and the security services it offers (AWS security hub, Amazon GuardDuty). Supporting the Portfolio Platform Management team by completing business management tasks, using the IT business management software ServiceNow. Sent emails to assist with time tracking initiatives within the company.

Served as a student liaison and team member for the Science & Technology committee for the Hampton Roads Alliance. On our team we had members of NASA, the US Navy, officials from Jefferson Lab, and angel investors. Our committee was tasked with finding solutions in the science and technology sector, for economic turmoil in the area due to the Covid-19 pandemic. I set up committee meetings throughout the summer on Zoom. As well as setting up the committee meetings I took detailed notes of every meeting. Using the notes from the meetings, at the end of the summer I was tasked with writing a white paper that explained and analyzed our findings and solutions from within our sector/committee. The white paper is 8 pages long and can still be viewed and read on the website for the Hampton Roads Alliance’s Economic Recovery and Resiliency Program.

As a part of the first ever class of students in the Hallmark Brand Advocate program, I was tasked to be an on campus marketing presence for the company, at Old Dominion University. I did this by conducting events and giving away merchandise that spread the #CareMore Hallmark brand initiative.
