I was a municipal police officer in Pennsylvania for 12 years. During that time, I trained in crash investigation, DUI’s, interview and interrogation and crisis management. Police work is a lot of time management, people management, learning to read and understand body language, typing legal documents and keeping up to date with case law and other changing factors within the criminal justice system. There a lot of valuable skills that transfer over to a job outside of police work. I began remodeling homes about 5 years ago and found it to be therapeutic. As time went on, my interests in the construction field grew. I am currently a production supervisor, assisting the home build process from the dirt to roof and obtaining certificate of occupancy.
