Served as the mechanical systems technical liaison with a recently acquired Korean group company by providing design development input, by avoiding patent infringement with a main competitor, by developing a comprehensive testing plan and by achieving (U.S.) regulatory compliance.

Individual contributor role assigned to the Director of Product Technologies and Regulatory Affairs to manage projects involving inter-group cooperation, new business development opportunities and evolving technologies. Through a joint test program, enabled an organic growth opportunity for high velocity hurricane zone products with four OEM partners and spanning 5 brands. Led a multi-brand effort to achieve an annual savings for compliance spending and to remove certification activities from the critical path of a project. Culminated in engaging regulatory compliance agencies earlier in the product development cycle and working within the framework of commercial agreements with the major regulatory agencies. Demonstrated the corporate commitment to life-saving technology by leading the commercialization efforts for a novel electro-mechanical product to guide occupants through smoke to an exit with audible and visual cues. Project included capturing and acting on feedback (VoC) from the National Association of State Fire Marshals (NASFM) and leading an industry sub-committee to expand requirements for light-guiding products in building codes.
