I am a Senior Advisor in Hydrology for the Flood Hydrology Improvements Programme (FHIP). FHIP is delivering the Environment Agency's response to the UK's 25-year Flood Hydrology Roadmap. I lead the Ways of Working strand, leading on projects into open methods, skills, and decision-making.

My role is to investigate the geomorphic impacts of Flash Flooding from Intense Rainfall (FFIR) as part of NERC funded SINATRA (Susceptibility of Catchments to Flooding and Intense Rainfall), part of the wider NERC-FFIR programme.My current research is enhancing the CAESAR-Lisflood model to better represent FFIR events, including understanding how the spatial and temporal resolution of rainfall inputs influences the model results.
