As a public relations professional at Disneyland Resort, I help manage the relationship between the media and the Disneyland Resort. I manage domestic and local broadcast and digital media relationships as well as project manage large and small scale press events, oversee video content and production, oversee broadcast media strategies and needs, develop communications strategies, manage finance, budgeting and forecasting, and conduct on-camera media training. Prior to my work in public relations, I was a broadcast journalist/producer for ABC News network and local affiliates. I covered a wide array of stories over my 13 years as a news producer including the terror attacks at ground zero in NYC on Sept. 11, Hurricane Katrina, the 2008 presidential election, the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, the BP Oil spill, the 2009 economic recession and housing market crisis, tornadoes, hurricanes, and countless more. I wrote, edited and produced stories for national and local newscasts. My years in broadcast news have built many relationships across the globe, perform in high pressure situations and work under tight deadlines. I mentor up and coming professionals, I donate to charities and I treat others with respect and dignity.
