Recently opened an 80 seat restaurant steps from Michigan Avenue. Responsible for all hiring but more importantly creating my first beer, wine, and liquor list. Focused on craft beers, bourbons, and unique/reasonably priced wines.

• Current projects: Starting email program for communicating with customers, updating organization’s web-site, and instituting new marketing initiatives to drive traffic to restaurant.• Daily responsibilities include payroll, ordering for both front and back of the house, hiring, marketing/advertising, and all other back-office duties.• As opening GM, oversaw construction, handled inspections, and did all hiring and training.• Past projects have included: standardizing menus, procedures, and manuals for the company’s three restaurants.• Experience at Madison Street location included but not limited to floor and kitchen management of an extremely high volume restaurant which many times exceeded 2,000 covers per day.

• Opening General Manager of 90 seat casual restaurant. Responsible for construction coordination, license procurement, and opening staffing. • Daily duties included ordering for both front and back of the house, customer relations, payroll, and financial analysis. Also handled marketing and advertising for restaurant.• Accomplished set goals of sales, food cost, and labor cost within 90 days of opening.

• Part-time event planner for not-for-profit organization.• Coordinated events of up to 1,000 participants.

• Sold marketing and financial programs to high-volume independent restaurants.• Had success both selling over the phone and in person.
