I lead Acumen's work in agricultural investing, including overseeing the development of an agricultural investment strategy focused on climate resilience of smallholder farmers, launching and co-leading agriculture fundraising, raising Acumen's visibility in agriculture, and supporting regional teams with pipeline building and diligence. My career has taken me from the plantain groves of Costa Rica, to the vegetable farms of New York's Hudson Valley, to small-scale chocolate manufactures in rural Colombia. A golden thread across this work is identifying and supporting high impact, community driven solutions to agriculture and food systems issues. Some of my career achievements include: - Developed the foundational strategy for Acumen's first ever philanthropic-backed agriculture initiative focused on building climate and economic resilience of smallholder farmers. - Serviced 200+ farm business each year with supply chain development technical assistance at GrowNYC- Shaped long-term organizational strategy through stakeholder assessments, impact analysis, and c-suite buy in.- Led strategic partnerships with national food companies to increase sourcing from systematically marginalized farmers– Blue Apron, Chipotle, sweetgreen, Dig Inn.- Developed and instructed 6-week, executive level Food Supply Chain course through Columbia University Earth Institute.
