I am a positive forward thinker always ready to learn and meet new people. I enjoy working on projects and seeing them through from start to finish.During my various roles, including technical lead, I have had the opportunity to work with a diverse group of engineers, managers, leaders, and really awesome people on projects large and small. I enjoy full stack development with a focus on clean code and rigorous, high quality, exhaustive testing.During my various assignments, I have utilized a number of industry standard tools; including many open source. I have extensive experience with Java and Spring Framework including Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Data, Spring Integration, and others. I have worked with both Gradle and Maven build tools. I have worked with multiple database technologies including Oracle, MySql, SQLite, Postgres, and Mongo. I have worked with multiple JavaScript frameworks including Angular, React, and Vue3 along with Typescript as well.During my tenure as a Technical Lead, I lead a team developing a Java/Spring enterprise app utilizing Agile Scrum methodologies. I worked with my team to design and implement the customer's requirements in an efficient, testable, and reusable fashion while also orchestrating deployments, code reviews, bugs, and other planning activities.At a previous position, I designed, implemented, and maintained a Java Swing program that managed a database of TV channels, frequencies, and data paths for cable TV services. This facilitated quick and efficient identification of item to begin troubleshooting. I was responsible for maintaining all receivers, multiplexers, and transmission equipment, for both TV and internet, from the headend to the end user.My hobbies are Fire Fighting, Amateur Radio, Fishing, Swimming, and being outdoors. I enjoy giving back to my community by volunteering with my local fire department.In my spare time I enjoy developing apps to learn new skills. I really enjoy Android apps. One is an emergency services incident mapping app that parses text messages to allow for faster navigation to an incident. It also provides other tools to aide the responder in quickly, safely, and efficiently mitigating the incident while maintaining situational awareness. Another is an Amateur Radio program that can search for call signs, hold contact data, and has handy tools for the radio operator. I enjoy science, technology, and math, and am always planning for my next project.
