I started as a junior accountant, doing individual and company tax returns and accounts. Then about 6 years ago I decided that I wanted to specialise in Self Managed Superannuation Fund accounts and audits, I worked doing this for about two years then became manager of a specialise self managed superannuation fund department with three staff. I have obtained the Spaa specialist auditor and advisor qualifications and I am also a CPA. In my daily role I could expect to do any of the following:- SMSF Accounts, tax returns or audits- Contravention reports and compliance letters- Correspond with the ATO regarding client contraventions- Review the funds deed, minutes, investment strategy and other statutory documents- Pension minutes and contribution calculations,- SMSF setup, including the setup of a Trustee company, applying for a TFN and ABN, etc.- Advice regarding the SMSF structure required for borrowings
