Worked on starting a new men's and women's volleyball team for 2016 / 2017, starting late in recruiting season. NCSU was to be a USCAA division 1 program. Changed their name to Forest Trail Sports University, Academic partner backed out a month before classes and changed campus locations in the last two weeks before arrival date. Recruited a team but unfortunately multiple team members backed out in the last two months despite signing letter of intent. Not that I blame them, too much uncertainty from the admin. Major learning experience.

Salem, Wv

Started a NCAA Division II program from scratch for the fall of 2014. Recruited a full team of 16 players from 12 states and Germany using a National search. Record for the first year was 5-22, placing 8th in Conference out of nine teams. Built a solid foundation on which to build the future program.Ordered all equipment, scheduled matches, coordinated transportation, match management, hiring / supervising my assistant coach and drove the team to matches for the season.Second year posted a 7-22 finish, Team improved in defense and setting, evolving in offense (hitters included four freshmen and two sophomores). Season highlight was taking down Ohio Valley in a home conference match. OVU was second in the conference last year.Laid off in department wide cost cutting measures.

Lamar, Colorado

This is a hybrid position as Head Women's Volleyball coach and Psychology Professor. Lamar is a NJCAA D I program. Recruited an entirely new team for 2012-2013 (14 players). Won our Kick off tourney, first Volleyball tournament win in school history. Four players were ranked in the top 50 players national statistics in 16 different categories. Team was ranked 4th in the nation for hitting efficiency at .318. Not shabby for a first year team!Taught Introduction to Psych I & II, Child Development and Abnormal Psychology.

Part time head women's Volleyball coach, Lackawanna is a NJCAA D II Program. Took a program that did not win a game in three years to a 9-9 season record our second year. We did this by training non-volleyball players to play the sport and recruited two solid players for the 2010-2011 season. Had three players nationally ranked for hitting percentage, service aces and setting.

Taught Introduction to Psychology, Lifespan Development and Abnormal Psychology. Applied use of a projector system, Elmo and SMART board in addition to online systems for tracking attendance and grades.

Worked with adolescents and their families in all facets of counseling with the intent to reduce out of home placements. Collaborated with Children and Youth and Probation. Additional skills and certifications in adventure course programming. Co-authored a summer program utilizing adventure course elements with our family based clients.
