About Christopher Yang

I have been coaching olympic weightlifting for 4 years now. We have 25+ athletes part of our program, and about 20 of those lifters compete in the sport of weightlifting. And 7 of those athletes compete at a National and/or International level.Along with being the Head Weightlifting Coach at Kingfield Barbell, I coach CrossFit classes at CrossFit Kingfield. In CrossFit, we see a lot of people with little to no experience of weightlifting and also people who have years of improper weightlifting technique. With weightlifting becoming so popular now in CrossFit, people want to get better. Thing is, there is not that many experienced weightlifting coaches out there. So there was a lot of people self teaching and improper coaching. So everyday I am constantly teaching beginners how to lift and become consistent, along with reteaching athletes how to lift. I also currently compete in the sport of olympic weightlifting.
