A career insurance professional, Chris has broad experience in the insurance industry including agent, agency principal, managing general agent and industry consultant. He is a champion of the "middle-market" with extensive knowledge in how the industry has, for the most part, failed to market and distribute life and health insurance products to the largest consumer group in history.After studying Risk Management and Religion, Chris began his career at his father’s property and casualty insurance agency in 1983, where he specialized in financial services for the agency. He is a Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant and Fellow of the Life Underwriter Training Council. He is Past-President of the North Carolina Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and was named the NAIFA – NC Advisor of the Year in 2004.Chris is an award winning and published photographer. He is a member of the Professional Photographers of America and outside of work, can usually be found with a camera in hand. He is also an active member of First United Methodist Church in Lexington, NC, where he serves as a Certified Lay Speaker and a member of the choir. Chris is a member of the Lexington Rotary Club and is a Paul Harris Fellow.
