Roles and responsibilities were to oversee maintenance and small contracts which included quoting, tendering, invoicing, progress claims and monthly reports to the General Manager. I was heavily involved in human relations for the PNG national staff sourcing manpower for each project. Other duties included corresponding with suppliers, ordering materials and producing schedules in Microsoft Project for various projects that came under the small contracts banner to the value of PGK 500,000.00.

My role was to educate the PNG National employees in the plumbing department of NCS Properties and supervise the works to ensure that they were completed to Australian standards. During my time in this role additional responsibilities included designing hydraulic drawings for various accommodation projects, completing bill of quantities and ordering materials from a number of suppliers.

Tasks included maintenance jobs, drainage and water services for new and existing dwellings, maintenance to waste water treatment systems (OZ Kleens), gas fitting in domestic and commercial industries and providing learning support to apprentices.

Tasks included roofing, cladding and flashing on a warehouse at the BP oil refinery, Port of Brisbane.

Tasks included drainage and water services for new and existing dwellings, gas fitting in commercial, industrial and domestic industries. I obtained my Certificate III in plumbing during this time.
